Globalization has a major impact on the economies of developing countries, including Indonesia. Technological change, especially in the digital economy field, is a key aspect of this globalization process. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of globalization, particularly in the context of the digital economy, on social media users when conducting economic transactions in developing countries. Although technological developments have contributed significantly to global economic growth, their impact has not always been evenly distributed. The impact of globalization on developing countries can be seen from the perspective of the digital economy which is a new means of various economic transactions. This article focuses on the role of social media as a platform for economic transactions and examines the positive and negative impacts of globalization on developing countries. In this way, readers gain a deeper understanding of how globalization through technological advances affects the daily economic lives of people in developing countries.
