Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between firm value and female directors' and CEOs' gender, controlling for board size. A total of 56 financial institutions from Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia were included in the sample. Stata 17's panel data regression techniques are used for data analysis. Female chief executive officers and female board members do not significantly affect value, according to this study. We accept the third hypothesis, which states that the size of the board of directors does not significantly affect the value of the corporation. Female CEOs and directors have a greater impact on company value than larger boards of directors.
