The Influence of Professionalism and Work Climate on thePerformance of the Office in Buton Utara Regency

The current phenomenon of stagnation in
employee performance at the Buton Utara
Regency Education Office, particularly
evidenced by a lack of creativity in delivering
services to the community, necessitates a deeper
understanding of the factors influencing
employee performance. This study seeks to
investigate the impact of professionalism and
work climate on the performance of the Buton
Utara Regency Education Office in the year 2020.
A quantitative research method was employed to
gather data from employees within the
Education Office. The sample was comprised of
40 employees who were selected using a total
sampling technique. The findings revealed a
significant influence of both professionalism and
work climate on employee performance at the
Education Office of Buton Utara Regency. This
was demonstrated by an F-count of 25.936 with a
significant p-value of 0.000, which is less than or
equal to 0.05, indicating statistical significance.
The variables of professionalism and work
climate collectively contributed to 58.4% of the
variance in employee performance. These results
emphasize the importance of enhancing the
quality of professionalism among employees and
fostering a positive work climate within the
organization to improve overall performance. By
prioritizing initiatives aimed at promoting
professionalism and cultivating a conducive
work environment, the Education Office of Buton
Utara Regency can effectively enhance employee
performance and, consequently, better serve the
community
