The current study is concerned with understanding investor awareness and perception of Systematic Monthly Gold Investment Plans (SMGIPs) in Ahmedabad City, with a focus on how gender impacts attitudes towards investing in SMGIPs. SMGIPs are an increasingly popular way to invest in gold, enabling investors to have a systematic and cost-effective approach to gold investment, while also cultivating savings discipline and long-term wealth creation. The study takes a quantitative approach to research and gathered data from 264 total respondents using questionnaires in a structured format. An analysis of quantitative data, included the hypothesis testing using Pearson’s correlation to identify how gender correlates with SMGIP related constructs such as income, perception of safety, affordability, trust, and convenience. The study's results identified a statistically significant correlation between gender and their monthly income, preference for investing in physical gold, and their perception of the convenience of SMGIPs. To summarise the findings, it can be suggested that while traditional preferences and economic differences continue to shape behaviour in investing, the overall perception of SMGIPs from a gender perspective is more gender neutral, particularly regarding their perception of returns, affordability, and trust in financial institutions. Most of the correlation values found in the investigation were weak or negligible, suggesting some shift of being more consistent with male and female perspectives. This research has both theoretical and practical implications, as it adds to the literature in behavioural finance and provides financial institutions with ideas about how to develop inclusive, income-sensitive marketing strategies
