Abstract

International Cooperation plays a vital role in promoting development and reducing poverty worldwide. Global partnerships have been instrumental in addressing development challenges, but their effectiveness depends on various factors. This study examines the impact of foreign aid on poverty reduction, highlighting the importance of good governance, institutional quality, and Contextual factors.Bilateral and multilateral aid have different implications for development outcomes. While bilateral aid may be influenced by strategic interests, multilateral aid is more likely to be allocated based on development considerations. Research suggests that aid for social infrastructure has contributed to achieving non-monetary goals, such higher school enrollment and lower infant mortality. However, challenges persist, including aid dependency, corruption, and distortions in local institutions. The effectiveness of foreign aid in reducing poverty is enhancement in democratic settings. As the development landscape evolves, international cooperation must adapt to address emerging global challenges. This study contributes to the continuous debate on the role of international cooperation in promoting development and poverty reduction. By examining the complexity of global partnerships, it highlights the need for continued research and evaluation to ensure effective use of foreign aid and development cooperation. Ultimately, international cooperation remains crucial for achieving sustainable development and reducing poverty worldwide. Effective partnerships can help address development challenges and promote a more equitable world
