This study aims to examine the integration of sustainable finance principles in the Islamic banking system through a literature study approach. Sustainable finance focuses on the balance between environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Meanwhile, Islamic banking has adopted ethical values, justice, and social responsibility. This study found that there is a strong meeting point between ESG principles and maqoshid sharia. However, the implementation of sustainability finance in Islamic banking is still partial. This study recommends strengthening internal policies, sustainable reporting, and developing ESG-based sharia instruments
