Abstract

Futsal is a sport that requires a high combination
of physical, technical, and tactical skills. Similar to
soccer, futsal demands a high aerobic intensity
throughout the match. Therefore, futsal has a close
relationship with VO2max, which is a measure of
an individual's aerobic capacity. The objectives of
this study are to measure the aerobic capacity of
male professional league futsal players in
Indonesia, then create normative categories for the
aerobic capacity VO2max of Indonesian male
professional futsal players by playing position
with descriptive analysis converted into norm
reference assessment. The study population
consists of all male players from the 16 teams in
the Indonesian professional futsal league. The
sampling technique used is purposive sampling,
with the research subjects totaling 76 players (12
goalkeepers, 16 players, 36 flank/winger players,
14 pivot players). The data collection instrument
used is bleep test. The result The results indicate
the aerobic capacity status of male futsal players in
the Indonesian professional futsal league as
follows: a) Goalkeepers have a VO2max of 46.32
ml/kg/min with a “sufficient” norm, b) anchor
players have a VO2max of 52.08 ml/kg/min with
a “sufficient” norm, c) winger players have a
VO2max of 53.94 ml/kg/min with a “sufficient”
norm, and d) pivot players have a VO2max of
51.08 ml/kg/min with a “sufficient” norm. The
norm reference assessment consists of 5 categories
for each player position, namely very poor, poor,
sufficient, good, excellent
