Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition (CIRC) learning model on Literacy Skills in Indonesian Language subjects in Grade IV totaling 33 students. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research type and a research design, namely one group pretest-posttest design. The research instruments used were teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and literacy skills learning outcomes and data collection techniques consisting of observation and tests. After data analysis, this study found that there was an effect of the CIRC model on students' literacy skills, for descriptive analysis of teacher activity obtained an average of 2.5 with a good category. teacher activity obtained an average of 2.7 with a good category and for inferential analysis for normally distributed learning outcomes, namely for the normality test with a significance of 0.018, the homogeneity test with a significance of 0.358 and the hypothesis test with 0.00 showed that Hl was accepted and HO was rejected so that it can be concluded that the CIRC model has an effect on the skills of grade IV students at SD Inpres Manggala
