Abstract

Food waste is a global problem with significant social, economic, and environmental impacts, especially in Asia due to urbanization and changes in consumption patterns. The purpose of this study is to determine the policies and technologies used in various countries regarding food waste management. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to examine food waste management policies and technologies in various Asian countries. From the bibliometric analysis, it was found that countries such as China, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia have implemented various policies and technologies, including composting and biogasification, to reduce food waste. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between governments, communities, and the private sector in achieving sustainable food waste management according to the 2030 SDGs target
