The Level of Education of Mothers in Carrying Out the Role of Preparing Protein Food for Toddlers

The latest data shows that the level of protein adequacy in 3-year-old toddlers in Indonesia is still a concern, with the prevalence of meeting protein needs varying in Asia. This study aims to explain the relationship between maternal education and the role of mothers in meeting protein needs in 3-year-old children. The method of this research is quantitative using the acidental sampling technique. The population and research sample consisted of mothers of stunted toddlers aged 3 years. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire filled out directly by mothers of toddlers. The results showed that most mothers had a secondary education level, and most of the protein needs in toddlers were also met. The results of the Spearman test showed an alpha value of 0.003 < 0.005, which indicates a significant relationship between the level of maternal education and the fulfillment of protein needs in stunted toddlers
