Abstract

The STEM approach in practical learning is one of the innovations that is indirectly connected to various other fields of science. as well as the STEM approach to women's and girls' fashion-making courses. The women's and women's clothing-making course contains elements of mathematics, science, and technology, so before further application, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study of previous research to analyse the extent to which STEM can be applied to the women's and women's clothing-making course. The research method used is the literature review of articles in international and national journals related to the theme. The stages of the literature review method in this study include: (1) choosing a review topic; (2) searching for literature; (3) collecting, reading and analysing literature; (4) writing reviews; and (5) references. The results of this study are that there have not been many articles written related to the STEM approach in women's and women's clothing-making courses, so it is an opportunity for the next research theme. In addition, it shows that integrating STEM into fashion design studies can improve students' creative performance, increasing students' interest in fashion to cultivate STEM skills and confidence, ultimately preparing them for the workforce
