Abstract

This research aims to determine the durability analysis and heat level of briquettes from water guava leaf waste (Syzygium aqueum) with starch glue adhesive. Briquettes are solids produced through a process of compression and pressure and when burned they produce a small amount of smoke. The data source was obtained from the analysis of researchers who used experimental quantitative research methods. The results of this research show that the briquettes with the longest shelf life are 6 cm briquettes, namely 43 minutes, and the fastest briquettes with the longest shelf life are 4 cm briquettes, namely 14 minutes. Meanwhile, the briquettes with the highest heat level are 2 x 6 cm, namely 62⁰C, and the briquettes with the lowest heat level are 4 cm, namely 46⁰C. Also, this briquette cannot boil 100 ml of water, but this briquette can warm 100 ml of water. The heat required by briquettes for SNI standards is 5000 cal/g, the temperature obtained from briquettes with the highest heat does not meet the standard
